Menlo Spark is an organization dedicated to making the city of Menlo Park California 100% climate-neutral by 2025. Their requests for a logo be simple, that it be rooted in place and nature, and that it capture the innovative spark of their mission. We took those directions literally and created this mark, joining the spark of a renewable energy future with the local symbol of the oak leaf, and employing a wordmark that highlights the cleverness of their name.
